How Vegas Nightlife Works

The Unwritten Rules

1

Nothing starts before midnight

Clubs don't hit their stride until 1–2 AM. Arriving at 10 PM means an empty room and a long wait. Eat late, pre-game at a bar, and arrive after midnight.

2

Guest list is everything

Every major club has a guest list — get on it. It's usually free for women and discounted for men. Check the club's website or Instagram the week of your visit.

3

Table service is a different world

Bottle service unlocks the best spots in the room, dedicated servers, and a base to operate from all night. Minimums start around $500 — split between a group it's often worth it.

4

Dress code is enforced

Upscale casual at minimum. No athletic wear, no flip-flops, no sports jerseys. Women generally have more flexibility. When in doubt, overdress.

Nightlife Tips

1

Pre-book tickets for major clubs online — door prices are always higher and popular nights sell out.

2

Uber and Lyft surge pricing peaks at 2–3 AM. Either leave before 2 AM or wait until 4 AM when it settles.

3

The Fremont Street Experience is free, open-air, and a completely different energy to the Strip — worth one night.

4

Casinos pump oxygen and keep temperatures cool to keep you alert. Pace yourself — Vegas nights are long.
